<pPınar Bakırcı, who lives with her mother and 3 children, started staying in a tent in the park after the 6.2 magnitude earthquake on April 23rd.
<pPınar Bakırcı's estranged husband, Turgut Bakırcı, came to the park to talk. The argument between the couple escalated, and Turgut Bakırcı opened fire on his wife Pınar Bakırcı and sister-in-law Arzu Kaygusuz with a gun. The women, hit by the bullets, fell to the ground covered in blood, while the suspect started to flee the scene.
<pUpon the notification of the bystanders, police and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the area. The citizens in the park caught Turgut Bakırcı trying to escape.
<pThe suspect, who was beaten by the bystanders until the police arrived at the scene, was later handed over to the police.

Annesi ve 3 çocuğuyla birlikte yaşayan Pınar Bakırcı, 23 Nisan’daki 6,2 büyüklüğündeki depremin ardından parka kurdukları çadırda kalmaya başladı.
Bakırcı’nın bir süredir ayrı yaşadığı eşi Turgut Bakırcı, konuşmak için parka geldi. Çift arasında başlayan tartışmanın büyümesi üzerine Turgut Bakırcı, yanındaki silah ile eşi Pınar Bakırcı ve baldızı Arzu Kaygusuz’a ateş açtı. Kurşunların hedefi olan kadınlar kanlar içerisinde yerde kalırken, şüpheli olay yerinden kaçmaya başladı.
Çevredekilerin ihbarı üzerine bölgede polis ve acil sağlık ekipleri sevk edildi. Parktaki vatandaşlar, kaçmaya çalışan Turgut Bakırcı’yı yakaladı.
Olay yerine polis gelene kadar çevredekiler tarafından darbedilen şüpheli, daha sonra polise teslim edildi.
Yaralanan Pınar Bakırcı ve Arzu Kaygusuz, olay yerindeki ilk müdahalelerinin ardından ambulanslarla hastaneye kaldırıldı. Polisin incelemesinde, Pınar Bakırcı’ya 2, Arzu Kaygusuz’a ise 1 mermi isabet ettiği belirlendi.
Olayla ilgili soruşturma başlatıldı.
